Evaluate the general ledger for completeness and accuracy and conformance to generally accepted accounting principles. Analyze and interpret financial statements, budgets and budget projections. Assist with the maintenance of effective internal controls and financial statement reliability.

Ensure the proper recording of accounting transactions in the general ledger including preparation and posting of journal entries.

Perform monthly close-out transactions and prepare account analyses and reconciliations.

Provide financial analysis support to other departments including generation of each departments monthly financial reports.

Prepare bank reconciliations and other reconciliation reports.

Ascertain correct general ledger postings and ensure the accuracy of supporting documentation.

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and cash flow projections.

Prepare analytical financial reports that support the organizations financial requirements.

Assist with proper preparation for annual financial audit and tax return.

Perform duties as assigned that support the organizations overall mission and financial goals.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting. A thorough understanding of financial information and requirements. Ability to research, analyze and review financial transaction records for accuracy, completeness and conformance to standard accounting principles. Ability to establish and maintain financial record keeping systems. Ability to generate required reports from computerized systems and perform mathematical computations using a standard office calculator with accuracy. 3-5 years accounting experience required.
