Accountant, Third Party Contract Administrator - Florida Boca Raton
Responsibilities:
Account analysis, variance analysis and margin analysis and follow-up with account or project managers regarding deal margin percentage issues. Calculate deal incentives on products and services sold below cost. Inquire about low margins deals vs. projected revenue. Be aware of 3rd party volume breaks etc.
•Process vendor invoices for timely payment
•Match vendor invoices to purchase orders, purchase receipts, shipping documents
•Review and reconcile vendor time and expense reports to vendor invoices
•Seek field and other management approvals as appropriate for given sets of invoices
•Contact vendors, company management, other resources to uncover and correct problems and issues related to vendor invoices, payments and schedules
•Compile and analyze financial information relating to gross margin on sales at the vendor, customer and/or project level
•Learn to efficiently gather, report and manage data within the database frameworks used by the company
•Assist in the day to day input of financial data into Microsoft Access ® databases and/or Solomon ® database(s); and/or Oracle ® databases.
•Insure timely processing of royalty payment requests
•Assist in the development of management reports that document variances from expectations
•Assist in the development of work flow charts and process documentation
•Work closely with the group to develop comprehensive month end checklists
Skills Required:
•Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well within a team, communicate.
•Ability to compile and analyze trends, variances, financial reports
•Basic knowledge of financial systems, financial reports
•Minimum, 4-year college degree
Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well within a team, communicate; Ability to process vendor invoices for proper accounting codes, project ID’s; Knowledge of purchasing concepts and vendor invoice processing; Basic understanding of royalty, maintenance and other vendor payable schedules. Requires basic Excel ® knowledge, and hands on experience with computerized A/P systems; General ledger balance sheet reconciliation skills; Profit and Loss statement and/or margin report preparation.

Sr Accountant - Boca Raton Florida
Responsibilities:

A-Capital Software:
1. Prepare monthly schedules of Capitalized Software Development Costs in Compliance with FAS 86
2. Work with Research & Development Departments to review monthly activity
3. Prepare impairment analysis
B-Inventory
1.Monitor activity of inventory on monthly basis
1-Wireless Carts
2-Warranty Parts
3-Other
2.Reconcile inventory balance to General Ledger at month end
C-Intangible Assets
1.Responsible for the reconciliation and maintenance of the following accounts
1-Goodwill
2-Acquired Technology
3-Customer Relations
D-Month End Close
Along with the above account is responsible for the reconciliation of additional Balance Sheet account along with the analysis on certain P&L accounts
E-Other
1.Assist with Sarbanes Oxley implementation within the General Ledger Group
2.Prepare Balance Sheet Fluctuations
3.Compile Month End Audit book on rotating basis
4.Prepare Quarterly workpapers for external audit review.
Qualifications:
•3-5 years of accounting experience in a medium sized, publicly traded company environment. CPA preferred
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance or Accounting
•Highly-reliable, self starter, analytical, detailed-oriented person
•Ability to manage projects independently, effectively, efficiently, and timely
•Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely
•Positive attitude with strong inter-personal skills
•Salomon/Oracle 11i experience
•Skilled with Excel and Word
•Strong income tax compliance experience.
•Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
•Self-starter can take lead in working with accounting colleagues and operational personnel.
•Ability to work effectively both as a team member and independently.
